Chapter 442: Old Foxes and Mutual Wounding (Part 1) | Throne Of Seal [Trans]
Throne Of Seal [Trans] - Updated on March 16, 2025
The King of the Forest Anaconda didn’t attack again, biding its time. The intense battle had suddenly calmed.
Powerful spiritual energy swirled in the air. Both sides knew they were being watched, yet neither dared to move rashly. At their level, a fatal blow could be irreversible.
The King of the Forest Anaconda had already been threatened, and if Andromalius hadn’t been tricked, it might have been suppressed to death.
Andromalius’s brain worked furiously, his senses heightened, his twin spears pointed at the ground, unwavering.
Soon, however, he found an opportunity.
As the King of the Forest Anaconda’s massive body disappeared into the swamp, the cave it had been blocking was revealed.
From a human perspective, the cave was large, but to the King of the Forest Anaconda and the demonized Andromalius, it wasn’t very wide.
It was about three meters in diameter, with vines woven around its entrance, extending into the swamp. Faint light emanated from within.
Undoubtedly, life was more precious than treasure. Facing a deadly threat, the King of the Forest Anaconda had abandoned guarding the cave.
A cold smile appeared on Andromalius’s face. “You’re hiding, are you? Well, I don’t believe you’ll really give up that cave.”
The treasures within were one of Andromalius’s goals. Killing the King of the Forest Anaconda or discovering the treasures would both be excellent outcomes, making the trip worthwhile.
Having locked onto the target, Andromalius didn’t rush. Attached to the demon god pillar, he took deep breaths. Black light seeped from the pillar, and he absorbed it like a whale swallowing water, steadily increasing his power. His previously depleted spiritual energy was recovering at an astonishing rate.
That’s why demons near demon god pillars are so terrifying. Even Andromalius, ranked last, suppressed the ninth-tier King of the Forest Anaconda with the pillar’s support.
His massive body began to coil, and a pair of enormous black wings slowly unfurled behind him. The wings glowed crimson, revealing throbbing crimson blood vessels that pulsed with Andromalius’s breath.
As he neared his peak condition, Andromalius finally moved. His coiled body shot out like a crimson lightning bolt towards the cave entrance.
The cave was only two or three hundred meters from the pillar, a distance easily covered with his power, speed, and the aid of his wings.
Attack what the enemy must defend. This was a calculated move, forcing the King of the Forest Anaconda to act unless it was willing to abandon the cave.
Clearly, the King of the Forest Anaconda wasn’t willing to. Just as Andromalius was about to reach the entrance, intense green light erupted from the swamp. The dense green light was mixed with a layer of greenish-black, solidifying into a tangible form. To protect the cave, the King of the Forest Anaconda was risking everything, because what was inside was too important.
The greenish-black light was the King of the Forest Anaconda’s core essence, expelled with all its might. As it expelled its essence, the King of the Forest Anaconda’s head burst from the swamp.
An unexpected scene unfolded: Andromalius ignored the essence, instead wielding both spears to strike the King of the Forest Anaconda.
No matter how cunning the King of the Forest Anaconda was, it never imagined Andromalius would dare to confront it head-on. Its initial plan was only to scare him off. Could a tenth-level beast’s core essence be easily endured? The pillar couldn’t be broken, but if this landed on Andromalius, it would be fatal.
However, everything happened too fast. The King of the Forest Anaconda couldn’t change its attack even if it wanted to.
“Boom—”
“Roar—”
A deafening explosion and a mournful roar occurred almost simultaneously. The explosion was from the King of the Forest Anaconda’s essence, striking Andromalius’s chest. The force tore through him, leaving a terrifying two-meter-wide hole.
The King of the Forest Anaconda didn’t fare well either. Andromalius’s desperate spear thrusts pierced its eyes, instantly piercing through its head. Green blood mixed with black fluid splattered everywhere, filling the air with a strong, rancid odor.
A mutual wound? No. In the battle of wits, Andromalius emerged victorious.
With a gaping hole in his chest, Andromalius crashed into the swamp. His massive body rapidly transformed into countless black and crimson rays, flying towards the pillar.
Andromalius’s five-meter-tall body reappeared on the other side of the King of the Forest Anaconda, the spears that had pierced its head gradually shrinking.
A demon god avatar. Another powerful ability from the demon god pillar. Long Haochen, who had returned to the edge of the battlefield, witnessed this, inhaling sharply. If he hadn’t seen it, he wouldn’t have imagined Andromalius possessed such a powerful skill.
Using himself as bait and launching a fatal blow when the enemy had to defend, Andromalius’s calculations were precise. The King of the Forest Anaconda had finally been tricked.
However, Andromalius was also struggling. Crimson blood flowed from his orifices, making his already fearsome appearance even more terrifying.

Everything had happened so fast that no one expected such an outcome.
However, the battle wasn’t over. The King of the Forest Anaconda, fatally wounded in the head, thrashed wildly, its massive body sending mud flying and unleashing a terrifying surge of spiritual energy, like a hundred magic cannons firing simultaneously.
Long Haochen dared not stay and quickly fled with Saint Guard No. 10. The dying struggle of a tenth-level beast was too terrifying.
Andromalius, beating his wings, flew into the air, concealing his aura, shrouded in black, not even letting a drop of blood fall.
In reality, using the demon god avatar was a severe drain on Andromalius. Once used, he couldn’t demonize again for a short time, and it would damage his origin, unlike how simple it appeared to Long Haochen. Like spirit furnaces, the stronger they are, the greater the backlash.
If he had a choice, Andromalius wouldn’t have used this trump card, but he had no other option. A safer approach would have been to scare off the wounded King of the Forest Anaconda and claim the treasure. But he was reluctant to give up such a powerful supplement. So, he had to ensure the King of the Forest Anaconda had no chance to escape, using himself as bait for a fatal strike.
The King of the Forest Anaconda’s frantic struggles lasted for nearly a quarter of an hour. However, Andromalius’s prepared attack was too powerful. No matter how strong a beast was, it was difficult to survive with its brain pierced and ravaged by dark spiritual energy. The King of the Forest Anaconda’s vast life force rapidly drained from the gaping wound.
Andromalius wasn’t in a hurry. Although he had suffered heavy losses, the gains were also substantial. The thought of advancing to the ninth tier and potentially ranking in the top 48 of the 72 demon gods made his heart burn. Furthermore, he had no idea what treasures the King of the Forest Anaconda was guarding. Whatever it was, it must be extraordinary.
The thought caused Andromalius’s body to twitch slightly with excitement.
Finally, the King of the Forest Anaconda’s thrashing grew weaker. Even its core essence fell into the swamp without being swallowed. Its massive life force was nearly depleted.
Andromalius breathed a sigh of relief, his intense excitement barely contained. Looking at the essence, which no longer possessed the King of the Forest Anaconda’s aura, he couldn’t suppress his elation.
Retracting his wings, he silently descended to the swamp. He was confident in his attack and trusted his senses; the essence no longer held any trace of the King of the Forest Anaconda. A tenth-level beast that had abandoned its essence could only mean one thing: its soul had left this world forever.
Landing silently, Andromalius reached for the essence. He wouldn’t absorb it here. It was valuable, but its spiritual energy was too vast. He would wait until he returned to his lair to slowly absorb it and use it as the foundation to break through his bottleneck.
As he touched the essence and felt that it indeed held no trace of the King of the Forest Anaconda, Andromalius finally relaxed his guard.
Having achieved his goal after so long, his joy was unimaginable.
However, joy often turns to sorrow. Just as he lowered his guard, the supposedly lifeless King of the Forest Anaconda suddenly moved.
Its blood-stained head whipped around, striking Andromalius’s back.
