## Chapter 256: Episode Six – The Awakening of the Two Nations’ Forefathers

Origin Continent, the sacred ground of the Thunder Ancient Kingdom, “Thunder Mountain.”

Within Thunder Mountain lie hidden countless worlds. In one of these vast worlds, a figure lay upon an endless plain. The grassland withered and flourished time and again, yet this figure resting there remained untouched by the slightest speck of dust.

How long it had been was unknown, but finally, this figure opened his eyes.

He was none other than the Thunder Ancient Kingdom’s Forefather.

“To personally dissect the corpse of a High-Tier Chaotic Lifeform, and even obtain some materials from it…” the Thunder Forefather exclaimed, invigorated. “This harvest is truly immense! It seems Senior Yuan and the others are indeed growing desperate, even allowing us to purchase High-Tier Chaotic Lifeform corpses.”

Low-Tier Chaotic Lifeforms were prey that the Thunder Forefather and Flame Wind Forefather were qualified to hunt.

But High-Tier Chaotic Lifeforms represented a qualitative leap! They could crush hundreds of millions of Low-Tier Chaotic Lifeforms underfoot, and with a single breath turn them to ashes. Cultivators who hadn’t escaped the cage, even with the protection of a “Source World Avatar,” risked utter annihilation through soul contamination upon encountering a High-Tier Chaotic Lifeform.

“Senior Yuan and the others are even offering High-Tier Chaotic Lifeform corpses to us descendants,” the Thunder Forefather mused. “Perhaps the rumors are true…”

“The Bei Valley World Cluster must have fallen completely.”

“Our cultivator camp has been defeated!”

The Bei Valley World Cluster was another world cluster dedicated to nurturing cultivators, painstakingly created by Senior Yuan and others.

Rumor had it that the Naturally Born Chaotic Lifeform camp had targeted the Bei Valley World Cluster, coveting the taste of cultivators and the consumption of worlds! They had arrived in vast numbers, forcing Senior Yuan and his allies to mobilize their forces to resist.

But…

In the end, the cultivator camp had lost!

The Thunder Forefather and Flame Wind Forefather had initially doubted this rumor. However, recently, Senior Yuan and the others had provided them, these God Emperors, with increasingly generous resources.

“I hope those Naturally Born Chaotic Lifeforms don’t slaughter their way to Origin Continent,” the Thunder Forefather worried.

There was nothing to be done.

In the clashes between the two camps, the Naturally Born Chaotic Lifeform race held a distinct advantage!

Their numbers were simply too vast, making the loss of some irrelevant! But among the cultivators, those who had escaped the cage were far too few.

In a battle of attrition, the cultivator camp could not afford to lose!

The Thunder Forefather emerged from the world where he had been slumbering, appearing atop Thunder Mountain.

“Hm?” The moment he appeared, the Thunder Forefather received reports from his monarchs.

“During my seclusion, a Galaxy Lord appeared on Origin Continent? He sparred with Emperor Azure, and actually gained the upper hand with a nine-story pagoda treasure?” The Thunder Forefather was quite surprised.

Thunder Mountain, within an ancient hall.

“Forefather.”

Nine monarchs gathered, all kneeling respectfully.

The Thunder Forefather sat high upon his throne, gazing down upon the nine monarchs.

He was separated from these monarchs by several Source World Eras; there was no affection between them. The reason why he and the Flame Wind Forefather cultivated their clans was to have them help conquer more treasure lands and collect more resources.

By slightly increasing the resources needed by the God Kings and providing some treasures for the early stages of God Emperors, it was enough to let the clans occupy an absolute advantage on Origin Continent, leaving them owing huge debts and later go collect treasures.

“Forefather, this Galaxy Lord acts domineeringly, daring to kill even the imperial family of the two kingdoms, who have committed great sins. Emperor Abyss died at his hands,” the monarchs said, looking hopefully at the Thunder Forefather.

“He possesses strength surpassing that of a God King. On Origin Continent, even if I can suppress him, I cannot do anything to him,” the Thunder Forefather said, looking down. “Strength determines order. If you commit great sins and are killed by that Galaxy Lord, I can do nothing. Be more careful in your actions in the future.”

“We can only endure this?” a figure in golden robes asked anxiously.

The Thunder Forefather looked at him.

The golden-robed figure trembled, realizing he had spoken out of turn!

The Forefather’s orders were meant to be followed, not questioned.

He had been reaping countless lives for a long time through the “Black Vulture Ancestor,” and was now somewhat impatient.

“Forefather, I, I…” the golden-robed figure said, anxiously.

The other eight monarchs dared not say a word.

“Wind Execution, go to ‘Wind Valley’ in Sky Pillar World. Either obtain a treasure from within Wind Valley as atonement, or die there!” the Thunder Forefather commanded impassively.

The golden-robed figure trembled; none of the other eight monarchs dared to intercede.

“Yes, Forefather,” the golden-robed figure, Monarch Wind Execution, could only obey.

To the aloof Thunder Forefather, these monarchs were merely subordinates, merely tools!

He cultivated a batch of them in every era.

In the early stages of an era, he would cherish his subordinates somewhat. But by the end of the era, their value greatly diminished.

“As long as a being surpassing the God King realm is born on Origin Continent, you must respect them,” the Thunder Forefather told them. “Because within Origin Continent, they are invincible.”

“However, you don’t need to worry,” the Thunder Forefather added. “In the environment of Origin Continent, Thunder Mountain is absolutely safe. No one can barge into Thunder Mountain.”

The eight monarchs understood.

They understood the Forefather’s meaning.

The Forefather could do nothing to the Galaxy Lord, but likewise, the Galaxy Lord could not come to Thunder Mountain and run amok.

“During my seclusion, what harvests were there?” the Thunder Forefather asked again.

“Reporting, Forefather, we obtained a portion of ‘Heart Radiance’,” Monarch Thunder Ripple reported respectfully, offering the treasure.

The Thunder Forefather nodded slightly upon hearing this.

As an era approached its end, obtaining treasures became increasingly difficult.

The Thunder Forefather looked at the liquid-like Heart Radiance stored within the box before him, and nodded with satisfaction. “You may all withdraw.”

Immediately, the monarchs respectfully retreated. “Flame Wind,” the Thunder Forefather remained seated, yet his thoughts traveled to connect with his old friend, the Flame Wind Forefather.

As he emerged from seclusion, so too had the Flame Wind Forefather.

“Flame Wind, you also know about the Galaxy Lord, right? What are your plans?” the Thunder Forefather inquired.

“Outside the Source World, this Galaxy Lord might be inexperienced. But on Origin Continent, neither of us can do anything to him,” the Flame Wind Forefather chuckled. “What can I do? I can only endure it.”

“How about we both go and meet this young fellow, and give him a warning?” the Thunder Forefather asked. “He will eventually leave the Source World, and will eventually need something from us.”

They had cultivated for several eras, accumulating vast power and building expansive networks of relationships.

The Thunder Forefather cultivated to the God Emperor Completion realm and now pursued the final step: “Ultimate Bloodline Awakening,” to escape the cage.

The Flame Wind Forefather was a God Emperor Late Stage, but he was an Enlightened One! In terms of strength, he was comparable to the Thunder Forefather. Among cultivators, the Enlightened Ones were generally more respected.

“Since we are from the same Source World, there’s no need to give him a warning,” the Flame Wind Forefather said. “Besides, if we truly push the Galaxy Lord too far, and he goes insane, the order of Origin Continent will be completely disrupted.”

The Thunder Forefather understood this principle.

Under Origin Continent’s supreme rules, their power was limited. Every being above the God King realm felt no fear! The two nations’ forefathers also had to consider the consequences of their actions.

The Eastern Extremes Domain Forefather was willing to compromise with them, but the Galaxy Lord might not be!

“Very well, then we won’t meet him,” the Thunder Forefather said. “He’s just a junior, and after he leaves the Source World, he will have little interaction with us.”

“Maintaining distance is good for him and for us,” the Flame Wind Forefather also had no intention of meeting Luo Feng.

Distance created harmony.

All parties could handle things calmly.

“What did you gain from dissecting the High-Tier Chaotic Lifeform corpse this time?” the Thunder Forefather asked. “Are you confident in reaching God Emperor Completion?”

“The harvest was great,” the Flame Wind Forefather said, sounding invigorated. “High-Tier Chaotic Lifeforms are infinitely more complex than Low-Tier ones. I’ve been studying this harvest carefully, and I believe I can take another step forward.”

“You always take another step forward, but never reach God Emperor Completion,” the Thunder Forefather remarked.

“Pioneering a path in the darkness, reaching the Half-Chaotic level is not easy,” the Flame Wind Forefather chuckled. “One must be patient.”

The Half-Chaotic level was equivalent to God Emperor Completion.

Enlightened Ones who achieved God Emperor Completion… were exceedingly rare.

If an Enlightened One were to take another step forward from the “Half-Chaotic level” and reach the Chaotic level! Then, the Dao they comprehended would be a “Chaotic level Dao.” It would be a complete ascent to heaven, and they would become the most powerful Chaotic Lifeform. Senior Yuan and the others hoped for such companions to emerge.

“I am patient, but I worry that time is running out. The Naturally Born Chaotic Lifeform camp is too powerful!” the Thunder Forefather worried. “Perhaps one day, Origin Continent will face an invasion by the Naturally Born Chaotic Lifeforms. If Origin Continent is finished, we are finished as well.”

“Then that is fate,” the Flame Wind Forefather said. “Our worries are useless.”

On Thunder Mountain.

“The Forefather has clearly acquiesced to the Galaxy Lord’s actions.”

“The Forefather also said that no one can barge into Thunder Mountain! Since that is the case, as long as we hide in Thunder Mountain to ensure our safety, we can completely send our subordinates to capture living beings. Origin Continent is gradually entering its final stages. We will have to leave Origin Continent to venture outside in the future, so we must capture more living beings to nurture our bloodlines.”

“You have an avatar, but I don’t have an avatar.”

“Can’t you send a puppet to harvest outside, while your true body hides in Thunder Mountain?”

The two monarchs discussed in hushed tones.

They had endured for three hundred epochs, originally hoping that the Thunder Forefather would take the lead.

But the Thunder Forefather’s attitude was clear, and they were left with only one path.

“Our true bodies will hide in Thunder Mountain, and we’ll send subordinates and puppets to capture living beings. Heh heh, I want to see what this Galaxy Lord can do!” With their minds made up, the two monarchs began to secretly make arrangements.

They quietly began capturing a large number of living beings once more.

“Galaxy Brother, the two nations’ forefathers have emerged from seclusion. Be careful in your actions recently,” Emperor Azure informed Luo Feng. “The Flame Wind Forefather acts freely and unrestrained, but the Thunder Forefather, although unaffected by Chaotic bloodlines, is inherently strong and domineering.”

“I understand,” Luo Feng said, understanding.

At this moment, Luo Feng’s true body was within the Star Tower, carefully studying its secret engravings.

In the three hundred epochs since the establishment of the Galaxy Divine Kingdom, Luo Feng had been using the precious “Chaotic Crystals” for a long time. His soul strength and willpower were comparable to a God Emperor Early Stage, but his physical body was much weaker.

Each epoch, Luo Feng could consume at most 33 Chaotic Crystals. Consuming any more would result in a negligible increase in effects. If he exceeded 40 Chaotic Crystals, the effects would rapidly weaken.

The ten thousand Chaotic Crystals he had obtained by selling three treasures of Emperor Abyss were now all used up.

He had also sold some ordinary dream realm treasures to the two ancient kingdoms in exchange for two thousand Chaotic Crystals.

“Consuming Chaotic Crystals over a long period of time is truly expensive,” Luo Feng lamented. Even consuming 33 Chaotic Crystals each epoch was making him feel the pinch. In the future, as his strength grew, the consumption would only increase.

But the effects of Chaotic Crystals were truly excellent!

In terms of cost-effectiveness, they were the best auxiliary treasures.
