A thunderous cacophony echoed through the void as Wang Lin’s storm of lightning spheres shattered against an advancing wall of ice, its relentless advance momentarily stalled.

In that fleeting respite, a spectral form materialized behind Wang Lin. It was Ta Shan, and with a thunderous stride, he unleashed his uninjured left fist, a battering ram of flesh and bone crashing against the encroaching frost.

Simultaneously, Wang Lin raised his right hand, conjuring a tempestuous gale from the very air. A swirling vortex of black wind, born of forbidden arts, surged towards Yao Bingyun, a storm of annihilation unleashed at point-blank range.

Wang Lin was ever merciless to his foes, regardless of gender. The black wind howled, tearing through the ice barrier, shattering it into a million shimmering fragments. Ta Shan’s fist, freed from its icy prison, surged forward, a desperate lunge towards Yao Bingyun.

Yao Bingyun’s face remained an impassive mask of ice, betraying not a flicker of emotion. As Ta Shan lunged, she barely parted her lips, uttering a chilling decree: “Blood, Burst!”

Ta Shan convulsed, a torrent of crimson erupting from every pore, enveloping him in a macabre mist. His punch faltered, never reaching its target. A force unseen slammed into him, sending him hurtling backward to the safety of Wang Lin’s phantom refuge.

In that instant, Wang Lin felt an unnatural power coalescing around him, a sinister current thrumming with unseen energies. This power sent his blood surging through his veins, a maelstrom threatening to tear him apart from the inside.

A murderous glint ignited in Wang Lin’s eyes. He clenched his right fist, commanding the black wind to converge. From the chaotic vortex, a fearsome black dragon materialized, its jaws agape in a silent roar. A gale of chilling wind roared forth, aimed directly at Yao Bingyun.

For the first time, a flicker of concern marred Yao Bingyun’s icy composure as she beheld the dragon’s form. Her hands moved with frantic speed, weaving arcane sigils in the air.

Wang Lin, however, retreated, vanishing into the very fabric of existence. If she could meld with the cosmos, so could he. Their previous strategies were rendered obsolete, their skirmishes proving useless.

Determination hardened Wang Lin’s gaze. He was outmatched. The only recourse was to flee. With a final step backward, ripples spread beneath his feet and he was gone. Yao Bingyun moved to pursue, but the black dragon’s icy blast proved surprisingly tenacious. Even integrated into the cosmos, the winds still battered her.

Frustration etched itself onto Yao Bingyun’s face. Her fingers danced once more, forming a glowing blue orb of concentrated essence before her. The sphere, vibrant and pulsing with power, rushed forward to meet the icy gale. Cracking sounds filled the air as the black wind dissipated, but the blue orb now paled, its vibrant hue fading like a dying star.

Grim-faced, Yao Bingyun seized the dimming orb, her gaze fixed on the point where Wang Lin had disappeared. With a flicker, she resumed her pursuit.

In all her days, she had never encountered such a slippery adversary. Despite her relentless hunt, he remained elusive. Cold fury settled upon her features as she once again merged with the void, unleashing her senses in search of his fleeting presence.

Wang Lin, a fugitive in the cosmos, sped towards the northern reaches of Luo Tian. He harbored a grand design. Between the western and northern domains lay a vast star river, a treacherous passage that led to sanctuary. Yet, even now, that path was blocked. On the edge of the river, countless cultivators swarmed, an impenetrable horde surging towards Luo Tian’s western lands.

And it was not just there. The entire western domain was bristling with warriors, most being members of other cultivation families. A great many of the families were allied with the Yao family, including many from Luo Tian.

They believed Wang Lin was doomed, and felt no need to fear his retribution. The promise of Yao family’s bounty was too great.

In truth, there were relatively few true members of the Yao clan involved.

“The Yao family!” Wang Lin spat the words like venom, whirling around and disappearing once more.

Suddenly, the air crackled with approaching divines senses, sweeping across the region. Immediately, one of them interfered with the celestial energies, and soon the sounds of cultivators could be heard, approaching at a great speed.

The celestial disruption caused Wang Lin to stumble, reappearing a thousand feet away. His expression grew darker, his gaze darting about as he prepared for a hasty retreat.

“Xu Mu, he’s here!” “Xu Mu is here! Kill him!” “Xu Mu! That’s Xu Mu!”

The cries echoed from all directions, as a throng of cultivators, clad in every imaginable style of garb, descended upon him. Ironically, there were no members of the Yao family among them. The true Yao warriors remained in the rear, watching with cold detachment.

It was difficult to say who was more cunning. The Yao clan believed they could conserve their strength by using a financial opportunity to persuade other cultivation families to join the fight. The cultivation families felt the same way. Since so many cultivation families had already appeared, Xu Mu was certain to die, and they could all get rewards for being involved, especially if they were the ones to kill him.

So, why wouldn’t they participate?

Wang Lin retreated, his feet leaving rippling afterimages as he moved. He swept an icy glare across the faces of those who pursued him, memorizing them, burning their features into the depths of his mind.

As a wave of divine abilities and magical treasures rushed toward him, Wang Lin stepped forward and vanished from the spot, integrating into the cosmic fabric. Although the celestial forces in front of him were twisted, Wang Lin did not move forward. Instead, he retreated, preventing too much interference.

“Yao family, now that you have launched such an operation, Wang will never call himself a rebellious cultivator if he doesn’t seek revenge! And those cultivation families that assisted the Yao family, without these people who were willing to surround me for great rewards, the Yao family alone would not have been able to form such an encirclement!” Wang Lin sneered as he disappeared.

When the cultivators rushing forward saw Wang Lin’s expression, many of them felt a chill. That expression, that thick killing intent, represented only one thing: Wang Lin was about to commit a massacre. “Since you like to blockade, then come!” Wang Lin merged into the void and retreated at a very fast speed. In this process, Yao Bingyun’s aura immediately locked on to him. Wang Lin’s eyes flashed with killing intent, without any pause. Somewhere in the Western Luo Tian, his figure appeared again. In front of him was a cultivation planet. Wang Lin didn’t know the name of this planet, but after he appeared, he arrived on this planet in one step. His divine sense swept across and the highest level of cultivation was only at the Nirvana stage.

This was a clear signal! Given the level of spiritual energy on this planet, it was impossible that there were no cultivators above the Void Refinement stage. These people must have participated in the great team that was chasing him. In fact, Wang Lin’s guess was extremely accurate! At this moment, if a large number of Void Refinement stage cultivators were missing from a cultivation planet, there was only one answer. The killing intent in Wang Lin’s eyes intensified as he rushed out. He would point his finger at every Soul Transformation cultivator he saw without hesitation.

“Those who participated in my business with the Yao family must be careful of my revenge! If these cultivation families aren’t scattered and pushed back, more and more cultivation families will participate in this matter! The only way to solve this is to deter them! And the most effective deterrent is slaughtering a planet!” Wang Lin’s eyes revealed a murderous intent. He was not a benevolent person, but now he was forced by the Yao family and these cultivation families to be unable to leave Luo Tian, and his range of activity would only become smaller and smaller due to being surrounded by many cultivators. If he wasn’t ruthless, he would only be waiting to die. What made Wang Lin even more anxious was that the experts from the Yao family and the other cultivation families, those great power cultivators who had stepped into the Ascendant Nirvana stage, might come at any time. Even one of them would be enough for Wang Lin to be unable to resist. Why was the Eastern Sea a famous place in the Luo Tian Star Domain? Why did people’s minds shake when they mentioned it and they didn’t dare to provoke it? It was because every time a successor of the Eastern Sea appeared, anyone who provoked them would slaughter their entire planet. They used blood to make everyone remember. Wang Lin didn’t want to do this originally, but now he was forced to do so. This was the only way to make most of the cultivation families who had participated in this matter for the sake of great rewards retreat. No tragic cries were heard, Wang Lin seemed to have turned into a whirlwind, sweeping across this cultivation planet. In less than half the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, he merged into the world and disappeared.

He only left a river of blood behind, a cultivation planet where there were no more Soul Transformation cultivators! As for the mortals, Wang Lin didn’t harm them. He even knew that the cultivators below the Spirit Transformation stage weren’t enough to be involved in this matter, so he didn’t take action.

Before leaving, he raised his right hand and pressed it down into the earth. After a violent tremor, two large words appeared on the ground: “Xu Mu!”

After Wang Lin left, space rippled and Yao Bingyun walked out. She saw everything on this cultivation planet at a glance, but her expression was extremely gloomy and her eyes revealed killing intent. With a shake, she continued to pursue.

Wang Lin’s eyes were bloodshot as he constantly appeared in this Western Luo Tian. Each time he appeared, there would definitely be a cultivation planet next to him. If all the Void Refinement cultivators were on it, then he would turn around and leave.

However, if he encountered a cultivation planet where there were no Void Refinement cultivators, and it was obvious that they had participated in the pursuit, then a bloody slaughter would begin. “This is what you forced me to do! Without hatred or enmity, you are chasing me for the Yao family’s reward. This is the cause, and my slaughtering of planets is the effect! Your karma will enter reincarnation!” Wang Lin wasn’t bloodthirsty, but he was being forced to do so. In just 30 days, a bloody storm swept across the entire Western Luo Tian. A shocking piece of news that angered all the cultivators, but at the same time terrified them, spread like wildfire.

More than a dozen cultivation planets had all their Soul Transformation cultivators slaughtered, leaving rivers of blood behind. Only the two big words “Xu Mu” were deeply engraved on the ground.

This was a blatant revenge! A thorough revenge against all the cultivators who participated in the pursuit! This act was the way of the devil. The title of “Devil Lord” was placed on Wang Lin’s head from who knows where. “Participating in my business with the Yao family requires paying the price!”
