Chapter 806: The Grand Plan. | Renegade Immortal
Renegade Immortal - Updated on February 22, 2025
The chase did not abate; rather, it intensified. Behind Wang Lin, countless cultivators transformed into streaks of brilliant light, a dense swarm resembling a rain of shooting stars in swift pursuit.
Wang Lin materialized within the void, staggering slightly. A fresh spurt of blood escaped his pale lips, and his countenance darkened with a simmering rage.
“Were it not for the ancient god Yugu’s hide, that finger-spell would have surely been my end!” Wang Lin surged forward, tearing through the fabric of space, once more melding with the heavens and earth in a desperate flight.
Ahead, the barriers had fallen, and the power of the heavens flowed smoothly. Yet, Wang Lin did not seek immediate escape beyond the reach of his pursuers, for the Yao clan woman was relentless. He knew that no matter how far he fled, she would find him.
Furthermore, even without the woman’s pursuit, Wang Lin would not have chosen to distance himself entirely, ensuring his pursuers could not catch up. It was his creed: tread not on me, and I shall leave you be; but should you dare to trespass, death shall be your recompense! The relentless chase of these cultivators had ignited the fires of wrath within him, and he would not easily let them go.
“If they seek to kill, they shall pay the price!” A chilling glint flashed in Wang Lin’s eyes as he vanished once more into the tapestry of existence.
The border between the Western and Northern Domains of Luo Tian was overrun by the relentless tide of cultivators hunting Wang Lin. They moved with incredible speed, each unleashing grand spells of teleportation to maintain the chase. The collective intent to kill coalesced around them like a drawn blade, aimed directly at Wang Lin.
Wang Lin emerged within the Northern Domain of Luo Tian, the very place where he first arrived from the Alliance Star System. Yet, his return stirred no sentiment within him. Instead, he extended his divine sense, searching with unwavering focus.
Moments later, a flicker crossed Wang Lin’s face. Behind him, the starscape shimmered. Without hesitation, Wang Lin stepped through the ripple, disappearing into the void just as Yao Bingyun materialized. Her face contorted with fury, she snorted coldly and resumed her pursuit.
Not long after, streams of light hurtled through the void, the cultivators and members of the Yao clan closing in rapidly.
Wang Lin’s flight had been deliberately measured, maintaining a calculated distance to lure these pursuers. His heart seethed with murderous intent, determined to ensnare them all, especially the icy woman capable of merging with the heavens.
Only then would he find respite, however brief. Under their relentless pursuit, he could not even afford the luxury of rest.
Moreover, he vowed to bring ruin upon their very clans. He had issued his warning, yet they persisted in their chase. Now, they would pay the ultimate price! The air crackled with palpable animosity as the icy resolve in Wang Lin’s eyes deepened.
Within the Northern Domain, Wang Lin’s appearances in the physical realm became more frequent, each emergence followed by a swift, all-encompassing sweep of his divine sense.
But just as quickly, he would retract it, wasting no time as he once again became one with the cosmos. Even a moment’s hesitation would allow the Yao clan woman to overtake him.
As a result, his pace slowed considerably, and the pursuing cultivators began to spread throughout the Northern Domain. Yet, among them, those from the region’s own cultivation families wavered, some even choosing to withdraw.
The massacres of entire planets in the Western Domain had sent tremors through their souls. While the feeling in the Western Domain had been intense, it had lacked the sting of personal threat. Now, however, the danger was immediate. Should Xu Mu, as Wang Lin was also known, fly into a rage, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Haunted by these thoughts, the Northern Domain families gradually retreated, scattering into the vast expanse. Yet, not all were wise enough to flee. Some, driven by folly, continued the chase, even though their ancestral homes lay within the very realm they now endangered.
Near the heart of the Northern Domain, close to the Five Great Stars, Wang Lin materialized. This land was familiar to him, especially Ran Yun Star, where he had resided for nearly a century.
But there was no time for nostalgia. He spread his divine sense, and a flash of excitement ignited his eyes.
“I’ve found it! It truly remained in the Northern Domain!”
Without hesitation, Wang Lin surged toward the Five Great Stars.
Within the Luo Tian Star System, near the Five Great Stars, a peculiar entity had appeared several years prior. It was a gigantic, alien life form, witnessed by many cultivators. Its shape was oval, with countless tentacles extending in all directions, a sight that inspired dread.
Fortunately, it had not harmed anyone. Upon arriving near the Five Great Stars, it contracted in size, transforming into a new celestial body. Over the years, cosmic dust had been attracted to its surface, forming a thin layer of earth. From afar, it now resembled a cultivation star. Yet, the cultivators of the Northern Domain knew better. This was no mere planet; it was a thing to be avoided. Even in passing, they would steer clear, never daring to set foot upon it.
A dense black mist shrouded its outer reaches, exuding an aura of dark foreboding.
For millennia, this place had been considered a forbidden zone within the Northern Domain! It was, in truth, the very being known as Wang Yue, the Moon Devourer! On this day, Wang Lin stepped forth outside the planet of Wang Yue, his gaze filled with caution, but without the slightest hesitation he plunged straight into the dark miasma.
The instant Wang Lin entered the mist surrounding Wang Yue, Yao Bingyun appeared. Her brow furrowed as she stared at the dark vapor.
“He has led us here for a reason. Surely, he plans to trick us!” Yao Bingyun’s eyes flashed, as if trying to pierce the veil and see what awaited inside.
At that moment, streaks of light appeared in the distance, the cultivators and Yao clan members in hot pursuit, were drawing near. The native cultivators of the Northern Domain had felt a sense of foreboding along the way, and upon seeing the planet of Wang Yue, their faces grew grim.
“That is no cultivation star! It is an ancient demon!”
“Although it seems to have no offensive power, it cannot be trusted. Did Xu Mu lead us here to use this against us!?”
Yao Bingyun did not act rashly, but chose to observe cautiously.
Meanwhile, Wang Lin had passed through the miasma and onto the surface of Wang Yue. The earth was thin, and tentacles writhed everywhere, seemingly unchanged from years past.
A cold smirk appeared on Wang Lin’s face. He dove deep into the monster’s body, following his old path toward the center.
“Come, attack! Unleash your fury on Wang Yue, and all will be resolved!” A sinister light shone in Wang Lin’s eyes.
