“Dang!” A crisp sound rang out, and the figure, swaying like a ripple, stumbled back three steps before regaining its balance.

What was happening? Both Li Xin and the Chen brothers widened their eyes in utter disbelief. They were witnessing something completely unimaginable.

As the aura shield activated, a soft white light emanated from Long Haochen’s chest. The light wasn’t intense, but at the precise moment the blade touched Lin Jialu’s neck, it landed on the invisible figure.

Even more strangely, the figure was instantly enveloped in a faint white glow, revealing its outline. Its blade merely grazed Lin Jialu’s neck, failing to cut her throat, and instead, it thrust towards Long Haochen. The “dang” sound was from Long Haochen blocking the attack with his Glory Shield.

Chen Si, a shield warrior, was more skilled in defense. He had moved to Long Haochen’s side, trying to help block some of the attacks, but the invisible enemy consistently only targeted Long Haochen.

Facing the combined attack, the invisible enemy’s body suddenly paused strangely in the air. Then, a circle of dark red light, filled with a bloody aura, burst from its body.

Chen Chen was the first to be hit. He grunted as his Whirlwind Slash collided with the dark red light. His attack stopped, and he stumbled backward.

At this point, the difference in their cultivation levels became apparent. With a loud bang, Li Xin’s swords slammed into the dark red light. Although she was also thrown back, the invisible enemy swayed slightly, clearly affected by Li Xin’s attack.

However, using this brief moment, the enemy’s pair of blades suddenly turned dark red. Its toe tapped the ground, and its entire body became like a horizontal tornado, with the two dark red blades as the tip, rushing straight toward Long Haochen.

A piercing tearing sound echoed in the air. If viewed from a distance, the invisible enemy looked like a dark red lightning bolt.

Long Haochen’s face was grave, his handsome features expressionless. His clear golden eyes showed calmness, unlike a fourteen-year-old boy.

With a crash, the invisible figure was slammed heavily onto the ground, letting out a miserable cry. Even the ground was indented by its body.

In the next moment, a radiance like the sun rose behind it, rich gold-red light, carrying the power of light and fire, descended from the sky.

Sun Slash.

“Ah—” A scream erupted, but it lasted only a moment before stopping abruptly. The invisible body was cut in half by Li Xin’s Sun Slash, and dark green blood splattered everywhere. The invisibility faded, revealing its form.

Chen Si reacted quickly, immediately approaching the pale-faced Lin Jialu. He raised his heavy shield, and a layer of earth-yellow light emanated from his body, protecting her and himself.

“What are you doing?” Li Xin roared at Lin Jialu.

If Lin Jialu had been able to join the attack after Long Haochen blocked the enemy’s initial strike, it would have been much easier for them to deal with this invisible enemy.

Lin Jialu gasped for breath, her eyes filled with terror. She gradually returned to her senses amidst Li Xin’s scolding.
