Chapter 1833: Flying Light, Flying Light, I Urge You to Drink a Cup of Wine | Red Heart Survey [Translation]
Red Heart Survey [Translation] - Updated on May 1, 2025
Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle, gurgle.
The ancient spring water, vast and boundless within the eternal natural chasm, still bubbled lonely.
Beside the spring, several young Demon Kings exchanged glances, momentarily lost, their purpose forgotten, unsure of what to do.
Earlier, the life-and-death struggle between Yang Yu and Shu Jia Lan had felt heroic and stirring. Now, upon reflection, it seemed to stir no ripples at all.
Truthfully, of late, I’ve always used a certain reading app for books and updates, switching sources, switching, the voice color for reading is manifold, available on both Android and Apple.
Grandmaster Xing Nian, his solitary boat traversing afar, died amidst the winds and waves, leaving viewers truly disappointed and filled with a sense of loss.
Within the grand design of the Heavenly Demon, these Demon Kings were simply not worth mentioning.
Beneath the Absolute Might, all was dust.
Until the heavens were mended, the wind scattered the flowing clouds, and the might of the Heavenly Demon faded away.
Only then did Yuan Meng Ji awaken from that arrogant sensation of being “covered by the Heavenly Demon grandfather.” Later, he realized with a start that he had thought wrong.
With the golden light cover gone, and the grandfather departed, he looked around again and only then felt the danger.
That Yang Yu and Shu Jia Lan, perhaps possessing the strength of newly ranked Heavenly List kings, had died just like that.
That Xiong San Si and Yu Xin, upon arrival, were still exchanging pleasantries, what ten years of friendship… in a blink, not even Yu Xin’s corpse could be seen.
The usually innocent and pure girl Lan Ruo unexpectedly used her zither strings to sever Spider Prison’s head.
The perilous winds and waves of the Absolute Might, vast and dangerous, were all contained within the booming, rolling Heavenly River. If one did not provoke them, they would not touch the body.
These young demons nearby, giggling and whispering, might not fare so well!
His gaze fell upon Chai A Si, and he let out a slight breath of relief.
Fortunately, this simpleton was here, otherwise, within the Shen Xiao Bureau, this old man would be at the very bottom.
He secretly resolved… this time, this old man wanted nothing.
A husband only does not strive, thus throughout the world, none can contend with him!
At this moment, his eyes revealed a resolve that even made Lu Qi Lang feel a secret chill. He couldn’t comprehend why this second fool, who had gained Yuan Xian Ting’s favor, with his mere Demon General cultivation, was striving for something.
Speaking of which, to be a guest of the Shen Xiao Wang family and enter this Shen Xiao land to compete, each considered themselves extraordinary, but to truly speak of children of destiny, it had to be Zhu Yi, Lu Xi Ming, Hu Tai Sui, Zhu Zhi Ben… not to mention the human race’s Grandmaster Xing Nian, all of whom had chess pieces fall upon him! Of course, except for Meng Zhi Ben who won a move in chess, the other’s falling pieces all fell empty.
To bear the schemes of five Absolute Yan powerhouses upon one body, one might ask who else under heaven could?
Of course, if one’s fate was not hard, they could not endure. To die and lose the Dao was also normal.
It was just that his own ancestor had laid a plan upon this boy, a plan that he himself might not be able to utilize in the future.
As a direct descendant of the Shen Xiang Deer family and a newly ranked existence on the Heavenly List, Lu Qi Lang was not a readily discardable chess piece; he had the qualification to hear secrets.
So of course, he knew that Zhao Yun Feng’s true demonic Dog Ying Yang, though appearing close to Gu Nan Shan on the surface, had secretly already pledged allegiance to his own family. Not long ago, he had used Dog Ying Yang to probe the truth of Tian Xi Huang Yuan’s illusions. Also, several years prior, he had just used Dog Ying Yang to lay a piece upon Spider Prison’s body.
He himself had deliberately pursued and killed She Gu Yu to Mo Yun City, thus naturally participating in the Shen Xiao Bureau.
Now, the chess pieces Zhu Yi, Meng Zhi Ben, and Xing Nian had placed upon Spider Prison were all clearly seen.
But he did not know what Hu Tai Sui’s side had originally intended to use Spider Prison for, and after losing Spider Prison, what they would use as a follow-up.
In Lu Qi Lang’s view, the most threatening presence in the current Shen Zhen Bureau was still Xiong San Si.
Secondly, there was the mysterious and unfathomable Chai A Si, and the sinister Tai Ping Ghost Officer hidden within.
Although that Spider Lan Ruo also hid herself deeply and her divine power was strong, because Zhu Yi was almost beaten to death by the human race’s Grandmaster Xing Nian, she had already lost her competitive power.
Yes. Competition.
Lu Qi Lang had not forgotten why he had come, nor had he forgotten the duty he bore.
Although the struggle of the Heavenly Demon was vast and momentous, often spanning several hundred years, with grand arrangements and powerful movements, making these so-called Heavenly Demon seeds feel relatively small. Compared to the Red Moon, they lost the brilliance of rice grains and the light of dim fireflies.
But he also had his own path to walk.
This single bureau of Shen Xiao shook heaven and earth. Those who held the chess pieces engaged in their own struggles of rolling up sleeves, drawing knives, and pulling swords. As chess pieces on the board, did they not also have their own struggles?
Already having seen the vastness of the great sea, they still performed the length of the flowing source.
The mountains were high like this, but our generation had not yet reached the future day!
Spider Du, who had once again suffered heavy damage in Mo Yun City, had already disappeared without a trace.
The nominal master of Mo Yun City, the true demon Spider String, now completely lacked the qualification to speak. Staying here was merely to await a result, and also to see what instructions the Heavenly Demon in charge would give.
At this time, Hu Tai Sui still sat by that gap in the wall, an old immortal at ease.
Lu Xi Ming stood alone in his charming brilliance, his qi steady and his spirit calm.
Ji Xing Kong continued to hide in the black wisdom, neither walking nor moving, one knew not what he was thinking.
Everyone was observing Chan Fa Yuan’s expression.
This large, carefree man, whose face always held a smile, would likely find it difficult to smile again for many years after this.
During this period, he had searched many secret paths within the Shen Xiao land, but had not found a single trace of the Know Hear Bell.
Searching for a needle in a vast sea was the reason; within the secrets of the entire Shen Ling land, seeking a stripped trace of a secret was especially so.
He had already prepared to spend this lifetime, searching one by one.
Hate that Ji Xing Kong!
Wasn’t your Black Lotus Temple also coveting the Know Hear Bell for a long time, watching like a tiger?
Now that the Know Hear Bell was lost, you don’t search together, you just wait here, what are you waiting for, you mother? Waiting for your Demon Master to come teach you how to pick up the ready-made goods!
“Ji Xing Kong, aren’t you going to try and find it?” Chan Fa Yuan suppressed his anger and asked.
“Find what?” A cold voice echoed from the darkness, a casual reply.
Chan Fa Yuan internally recited the importance of the larger picture, endured his anger and swallowed his voice, saying: “Of course it’s the Know Hear Bell. It is after all a supreme treasure of my Buddhist sect, its loss is the root of my Buddhist sect. Now, let’s each use our means, together with one heart for this, and after we find it, it won’t be too late to contend.”
Ji Xing Kong laughed and said: “The Know Hear Bell is…” Chan Fa Yuan pressed down his palm with great determination, turning his head away.
There was no way to talk on this day!
But he was inviting Ji Xing Kong to search together precisely because he no longer had much time.
That void being mended was not only Grandmaster Xing Nian’s booming homecoming path, but also the ‘completion’ of this Shen Xiao world.
Grandmaster Xing Nian, before his death, sent out a great vow: ‘Outside of heaven, no evil.’
What was ‘outside of heaven, no evil’?
To Grandmaster Xing Nian himself, there could of course be many explanations.
To the Shen Xiao land, it meant there could no longer be ‘external forces’ interfering.
Those who had already entered the bureau would play within the bureau. Those who had not entered the bureau could no longer easily get in.
This, of course, was recognized by the Shen Xiao land.
The moment the Shen Xiao secret land opened, it was rapidly reviving and rapidly growing.
From facing Hu Tai Sui’s pressure, only choosing self-destruction. To later escaping into another time-space, avoiding the direct probing of the Heavenly Demons of Mo Yun City.
They had all made their moves within the Shen Xiao land, all having to rely on pre-laid means to connect, and could not directly interfere.
Since the opening of the Shen Xiao secret land, how much power had fallen within the Shen Xiao bureau? These were all the provisions of the Shen Xiao land, strengthening the world rules of the Shen Ling land.
Now, although he had already joined forces with the Heavenly Demon of Mo Yun City and broken the lost way of time, he felt himself moving further away from the Shen Xiao land.
The Know Hear Bell was already lost, Yang Yu was already dead, and the power of his existence within the Shen Xiao land was rapidly dissolving. The last opportunity was disappearing.
If he did not do something, he would truly only be able to declare himself out of the bureau:
How could he lose so simply?
At this moment, Chan Fa Yuan took a step forward, and a golden divine dragon appeared beneath his feet. With deer horns and long whiskers, it rolled endlessly, its form almost covering the entire Mo Yun City.
A vast dragon roar echoed, rolling for ten thousand li. Tian Xi Huang Yuan, all living beings heard it.
The protector heavenly dragon of Gu Nan Shan!
This was not a living creature, but refined with a true dragon, locking its dragon soul and casting divine power. It was a supreme Buddha attendant, here to protect him in his practice.
That old dragon of Sen Hai always foolishly mentioned Jiang Wang pulling out his sleeve, saying that he had connections and face in the demon world, that he could arrange things… the most rotten face was this.
This time, Great Bodhisattva Chan Fa Yuan of Gu Nan Shan stood upon the heavenly dragon, overlooking the endless journey through time and space, his palms clasped together, treasure light surrounding his body. He recited a verse from that day:
“Zen Master! When the Age of Dharma Decline comes, what merit shall be done?”
“What is the coming of the Age of Dharma Decline? All beings are sinful.”
“This disciple has passed the Three Storehouses, fixed the Heart Ape, held the Eight Precepts, enlightened the Six Pure Roots, tied the Intent Horse. Though I go to the Age of Dharma Decline, I am self-contained and will not decay. How am I sinful?”
“Sinful in not being enough.”
“The road to the East is far, Zen Master, how shall you teach me?”
“Exhaust redemption also.”
This was content within, speaking of the last lecture of Yin Guang Ru Lai in Gu Nan Shan. After this lecture, he left Gu Nan Shan and disappeared outside of heaven.
At that time, the one conversing with him was precisely the then Tenth Dharma King, later the Guang Wang Ru Lai.
This passage was Guang Wang Ru Lai asking, if the era of Dharma Decline truly came, what merit should I bear? The Zen Master answered, what merit is there? When the era of Dharma Decline comes, it is the sin of all living beings.
Guang Wang Ru Lai asked again, I diligently cultivate merit, observe precepts, my nature is pure, I have never had any faults. Suddenly, unfortunately, the era of Dharma Decline descends, what sin do I bear? The Zen Master answered, sinful in you not doing enough.
You have not redeemed all beings, not guarded this world, allowing the era of Dharma Decline to descend.
Guang Wang Ru Lai asked again, then what should I do? The Zen Master only said, go redeem sins.
At this moment, this classic text fit this situation, this realm, this heart!
At this moment, Chan Fa Yuan, with his foot treading the heavenly dragon, suspended in the high sky of Mo Yun City, truly possessed endless glory. As the sound of his chanting grew grander, a wheel of brilliant Buddha light suddenly appeared behind his head! This wheel of Buddha light rotated without decay, illuminating eternity, as if a golden sun was embedded behind his head, making him already resemble a Buddha.
This was witnessed by the demons of Mo Yun City.
And the changes that the multitude could not see were happening within the Shen Ling land.
In the God Embryo land, Yuan Meng Ji was still engaged in false pleasantries with Chai A Si, acting like a wise ruler and a loyal minister. Zhu Da Li was still contemplating his ideals, the ancient spring water reflecting the corner of his clothes. She Gu Yu was alone, shrinking in a corner. Xiong San Si, Spider Lan Ruo, Lu Qi Lang, were still on their respective guards.
It seemed as if nothing had happened.
But the power belonging to Chan Fa Yuan, secretly seeking the Know Hear Bell, suddenly leaped out of secrecy, soared to the high dome of the Shen Wei land, and explored towards a higher place, traversing ten thousand li in one breath.
Found it!
At the extreme height of that Shen Jiao land, a huge treasure ship was revealed!
It was forty-four thousand zhang long and eighteen thousand zhang wide, fundamentally impossible for the present Demon Kings to see its end. It almost covered the entire sky, casting down ripples of years.
Only the mast was broken, the ship’s body was full of wounds, gaps almost connecting one after another. Rotten wooden boards and green rust, and deep brown moss, brought a kind of profound decay.
The most serious wound was in the middle of the treasure ship… by some unknown existence with what sharp weapon, it was split open from the middle, almost chopped into two sections. The dragon keel was broken, the bell nails were broken, the tens of thousands of huge hinges were cracked at the two sides of the wound, unable to connect again. Only the remaining three still hung there, barely holding the ship’s body together. Compared to the immensity of this treasure ship, they were truly small, if not paid attention to, they would not be seen at all.
That strike that split the treasure ship from the middle had contained a terror beyond imagination.
So much so that after countless years, within the visible realm of this Shen Ling land, within the cracked mouth of these treasure ship remains… it still attached the power of destruction.
It was still capable of killing the viewer’s sight.
Every time one gazed upon this and stopped, the gaze could not continue.
The legendary treasure ship of that time, the ‘Fly Light’!
This was Xiong San Si’s surprised doubt, but it was what Fa Yuan achieved by displaying supreme Buddha merit.
He, within Mo Yun City, acted across worlds, driving his last power, following Grandmaster Xing Nian’s earlier actions, found the time treasure ship hidden deep within the Shen Xiao land, and then leaped onto it!
Grandmaster Xing Nian had stopped precisely to rely on his insight into fate’s skill, borrowing this treasure, turning time, creating the lost way of time, and writing his imagined future.
And now, he also wanted to borrow this to form a bureau, within the lost time, to seek back his lost chess pieces.
Invisible power transformed into visible power. The virtual shadow of the great monk rapidly shuttled within the remains of the time treasure ship. He was racing against time, and finally, before his power dissipated, he found the ship rudder of the ‘Fly Light’. Only then could he move it!
The Shen Ting Bureau was to be thoroughly sealed from outside, no longer allowing the chess players to personally enter the field. Then he would just put his killed chess piece back into the chess bureau, to continue the confrontation of this bureau, to continue constructing the connection of the insight chess bureau, and to continue seeking the Know Hear Bell.
But as the golden Buddha light hand grasped, suddenly a hand condensed from dark color was added!
Within Mo Yun City, Chan Fa Yuan looked over, both surprised and angry.
From the darkness, Ji Xing Kong’s eyes, full of cunning, appeared, looking back very indifferently.
The meaning was very clear – either take it together, or both be out of the bureau together.
The Buddhist family spoke of cause and effect, not creating oral karma, but Chan Fa Yuan, as a great Bodhisattva with complete merit, at this moment only wanted to painfully kill Ji Xing Kong’s ancestors for eight generations.
But how could the Know Hear Bell truly be given up with this scoundrel and rogue?
He could only close his eyes, grit his teeth, and cross his heart.
The golden light hand stacked upon the black light hand, and just like that, they turned the ship rudder together, moving the world wheel.
Yang Yu and Shu Jia Lan then walked out from within time, falling to the edge of the ancient spring, walking from the time they had not died, to now, having crossed life and death together.
But at the same time, in this moment of time…
Boom rumble!
The entire huge time treasure ship, under this turning motion, seemed to reach some critical point, emitting a huge, painful sound.
And then, the ship boards broke one by one, shattering, decaying, and weathering!
In an extremely short time, the remains of the ‘Fly Light’ were completely dismembered and dissipated into the air!
Within Mo Yun City, Chan Fa Yuan’s expression was stunned.
At this moment, he suddenly understood why Grandmaster Xing Nian wanted ‘Outside of heaven, no evil’.
Not only did he want to bury the Know Hear Bell, he also wanted to use these two great Bodhisattvas of the demon race to thoroughly destroy the remains of the ‘Fly Light’ treasure ship.
Although the ‘Fly Light’ was already remains, it was after all fully created by the powerhouses of the distant ancient era’s demon race. The supreme treasure intended to be borrowed for revolution still retained its self-protecting instinct after a long time.
If the human race wanted to destroy it, it would necessarily incur a counterattack. It would even be interfered with by the heavenly will of the demon race.
And Grandmaster Xing Nian had urged it to a critical state, and then very carelessly revealed the message of his finding the ‘Fly Light’… only waiting for them to come and turn the last wheel.
One Yang Yu’s life, in exchange for the remains of the ‘Fly Light’.
The other shore of deep space…
