## The Twelfth Scroll of Immortality, Tenth Sun of the Immortal Galaxy, Chapter 1920: I Endure, Thou Endure!

Having woven the very Dao into his being, each fist, each step, each wave of his hand, each point of his finger, pulsed with a multitude of arcane powers. A Celestial Lord, at the pinnacle of his might, such as the ancient patriarch of the Dao Demon Sect, could channel twenty-seven distinct spells into a single blow – enough to shatter the heavens and extinguish any being beneath the Celestial Lord realm.

The key was the *number* of woven spells, not their individual nature. For while some Celestial Lords might not possess dozens of unique incantations, they could weave a single spell upon itself, layer upon layer, achieving a comparable level of devastating power.

The *number* was paramount!

The Art of Swift Gods, upon the formation of the Six Divine Meridians, allowed Wang Lin to summon ninety-seven afterimages with each movement. This bespoke a velocity that bordered on the divine. This Art was formidable, yet only Wang Lin could wield it in such a way as to unleash ninety-eight volleys of arcane power in an instant.

For Wang Lin’s battle prowess had now reached the level of a Celestial Lord. Only through such strength could this feat be achieved. Were a warrior lacking Celestial Lord might to possess even nine Divine Meridians, even were they to conjure hundreds of afterimages and hurl forth hundreds of spells, they would still fall before the might of a true Celestial Lord.

Even a Celestial Lord who mastered the Art of Swift Gods would find their power limited. If they could only weave twenty-seven spells into their core being, then even with hundreds of afterimages unleashing hundreds of spells, the resulting force would only resemble their core twenty-seven-fold power.

For their limit was twenty-seven; they could not surpass it. Like a jar, it could only hold so much water, no matter how much one poured into it.

But Wang Lin was different. His true strength, fueled by his Dao-Ancient form and the soul-blood within his veins, was boundless. And within this confluence, the soul-blood held the greatest significance.

Thus, merged with the power of the Golden Venerate soul he now borrowed, the force he could unleash was immeasurable.

This was why Wang Lin, having merged the paths of the Dao-Ancient and the mortal cultivator, could overcome opponents of vastly superior standing! Furthermore, Wang Lin’s growth was exponential when he arrived in the Immortal Galaxy. This was largely due to the presence of the strongest of his incarnations, residing within the Immortal Void.

The merging of these three elements was the root of Wang Lin’s prodigious power!

The body was the jar, the cultivation the water within. But his strongest incarnation granted the jar the property of elasticity, allowing it to expand endlessly.

Moreover, the soul-blood had subtly altered Wang Lin’s form. This transformation, normally hidden, now proved vital, setting him apart from all other ancient cultivators.

These subtle advantages, perhaps insignificant at their inception, had accumulated, layer upon layer, to become a power that shook the very foundations of existence!

As the whirling abyss drew near, ninety-eight Wang Lins materialized, each a perfect reflection of the original. But instead of weaving ninety-eight different spells, they all unleashed the same one!

Ninety-eight times they channeled the memory of the Heavenly Bull, a fragment of celestial knowledge gained upon acquiring the Soul Armor and bolstering their cultivation to its peak. The memory held the power of the Heavenly Bull Charge!!

This charge perfectly harnessed the borrowed power of the Golden Venerate.

All ninety-eight figures raised their hands, forming horn-like gestures above their heads. With a chorus of guttural roars, they lunged forward, their bodies becoming living projectiles!

The earth trembled, and the sky dissolved into nothingness. The light of the afternoon sun vanished, leaving only the ancient patriarch of the Dao Demon Sect, his whirling abyss, and the ninety-eight Wang Lins.

Each of the ninety-eight figures vanished in the wake of their charge, until only the original remained. After unleashing the Heavenly Bull Charge ninety-eight times, Wang Lin uttered a thunderous roar!

From his back arose the spectral form of a colossal Heavenly Bull. The visage was so real, so potent, that it seemed as though the true form of the beast had been freed from its prison. With a resounding bellow, the Heavenly Bull lowered its head and charged, its horns aimed directly at the abyss!

Heavenly Bull Charge!!

From afar, it appeared as though the gigantic Heavenly Bull had enveloped Wang Lin, its horns driving straight into the approaching abyss.

If painted upon a scroll, this moment would become a treasure of unparalleled beauty, a legend etched in ink and bound in silk!

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*

The twenty-seven spells within the whirling abyss shattered and crumbled. The abyss itself trembled, torn apart, and utterly undone!

The abyss’s collapse only momentarily checked the headlong rush of the Heavenly Bull, but it could not be stopped. The beast’s head hurtled toward the patriarch of the Dao Demon Sect.

All happened in an instant, as if the abyss’s destruction was the prelude to the Heavenly Bull’s horns piercing the space before the aged patriarch.

The crimson-haired elder’s face contorted in shock, and a flicker of terror sparked in his eyes as he desperately retreated.

“Ninety-eight spells woven together! He has not woven the Dao itself into his being, yet through this method, he has achieved a similar effect. If he were to weave the Dao, he would be unstoppable!

The limit of a Celestial Lord is ninety-nine. Exceeding that is the realm of the Transcendent Lord! To become this powerful after using soul-borrowing to raise his cultivation!

This power rivals a Transcendent Lord! But he cannot weave the Dao, so his ninety-eight spells are not truly one. Even now, forcing them together will never be perfect! Yet even so, it will be hard to resist!”

With each strike, twenty-seven spells coalesced from his fists, attempting to counter the charging Heavenly Bull. Slowly, the ninety-eight spells within the beast’s attack were pulverized and nullified.
The prior clash with the swirling void had shattered nearly forty of the celestial Ant’s arcane powers within him. Now, under the full force of the crimson-haired elder’s counter-attack, another forty crumbled into nothingness.

Yet, a dozen stubborn powers remained, colliding with the elder in a blinding flash. He coughed up blood, staggering backward as the heavens themselves seemed to birth ninety-eight spectral images of Wang Lin. With a unified roar, they surged forward, unleashing a second wave of the Celestial Ant’s assault!

Once more, a gargantuan, spectral Ant materialized in the sky, charging with relentless force.

“Such power, such speed! I could barely withstand the first wave, and this second is even faster! This man’s resilience is monstrous; how can he endure such sustained attacks?!”

The crimson-haired elder recoiled, but as the second celestial Ant, born from Wang Lin’s power, hurtled towards him, his violet Daoist robe erupted with an aura of Grand Celestial might!

The robe, a gift from the Grand Celestial Dao Yi, was meant as a last bastion of defense. With the sudden emergence of the Grand Celestial aura, a vague silhouette shimmered into existence around the elder’s form. This phantom was but a fragment of Dao Yi’s divine will, woven into the very fabric of the robe.

The apparition materialized with startling abruptness, interposing itself between the charging Ant’s colossal mandibles and the Dao Demon Sect elder. It spun, and with a motion that seemed utterly commonplace, it struck a single blow at the celestial beast!

The punch was mundane, like that of a common man, barely disturbing the air, devoid of any supernatural display. Yet, at that moment, the colossal Ant shattered into fragments. Within it, ninety-eight arcane powers, scattered like leaves before a hurricane, were utterly obliterated.

The celestial Ant’s image dissolved, and within, Wang Lin stumbled back a hundred paces, his face pale, but his eyes blazing with fierce determination.

“Dao Yi, Grand Celestial!”

“We greet the Grand Celestial Dao Yi!” the Dao Demon Sect elder intoned, bowing deeply before the spectral figure, his hands clasped in reverence.

The apparition, once hazy, rapidly gained clarity, the form solidifying until a complete likeness was revealed.

He was a young man in Daoist robes, no older than his mid-twenties, with raven hair cascading down his shoulders, piercing eyes that sparkled like distant stars, and a face of breathtaking beauty. His gaze held an infinite depth, capable of drawing one into its fathomless depths.

Clad in simple robes, he stood there with an unassuming air, yet at that moment, the heavens held their breath, the earth stood still, the winds ceased their dance, and all creation froze in place! Even the very gears of existence seemed to grind to a halt.

Before him, dust motes hung suspended in the air, remnants of the battle, yet instead of falling, they remained frozen, motionless.

Across the shattered ground, where the conflict between Wang Lin and the Dao Demon Sect elder had carved chasms, the rending and tearing ceased completely, arrested mid-destruction.

The scene constricted Wang Lin’s pupils. He felt his very heartbeat slowing, threatened to be frozen along with all else.

Even more astoundingly, behind Dao Yi, the Dao Demon Sect elder’s ejected blood, floating still to earth, also hovered silently in mid-air.

“This… is the power of a Grand Celestial? And this is only a strand of Dao Yi’s divine will within a robe… This fragment, this sliver of power, possesses such incredible pressure that even the heavens and earth dare not move!”

Wang Lin stared ahead, understanding dawning within him. It was not that all things were frozen, but rather that all creation, including the heavens and earth, dared not stir in the presence of Dao Yi!

“You have the worth, to follow me. Those who follow me will never die, for I am everlasting!” the raven-haired youth spoke slowly, regarding Wang Lin with eyes that shone with boundless wisdom and starlight.
