Chapter 1090: Corpse Yin Eight Kings | Renegade Immortal

Renegade Immortal - Updated on February 26, 2025

Torsen’s words echoed in the heavens, and the endless sea of blood on the ground roared in response, waves rising and falling like the tide.

Torsen’s crimson hair billowed around his head, a fiendish grin plastered across his face. With a savage tear of his right hand toward the sky, a thunderous boom ripped through the world. The very fabric of the bloody heavens split wider, the fissure gaping open to consume the sky itself, as if a tapestry were torn asunder.

From the depths of the blood sea, figures of cultivators shot skyward like streaks of colored light, piercing through the air at Torsen’s beckoning, and stepping into the void beyond.

Torsen’s right hand clawed backward, and the blood of the world answered with a deafening roar. An unimaginable power swelled forth, lifting the endless blood sea from the ground, surging toward the rift in the sky.

As it neared the tear, the blood sea writhed and coalesced, transforming into a colossal blood dragon, its size blotting out the sun and moon. With the ancient cultivators trailing in its wake, it plunged into the rift with a thunderous bellow.

In the void beyond, the ancient cultivators burst forth into a scene of carnage. Their arrival was heralded by Torsen’s command, which echoed in their minds: “Let the land of the Ancient Gods be filled with the sweet fragrance of blood!”

These cultivators were no weaklings, yet their true power was suppressed by the seals placed upon them by Torsen. In ages past, the burden of Torsen’s seals required the dispersal among many. Rarely could one bear such a burden alone.

But as the power of the blood sea weakened, so did Torsen’s bonds. The seals that suppressed him grew frail, and so did those upon the cultivators who bore the fragments of his captivity. Their suppressed power surged forth, surpassing anything seen in a millennium.

A crimson haze descended upon the void. The ancient cultivators, unleashed from the blood sea, stalked the land like dragons newly risen from the deep. With bloodlust in their eyes and chilling precision, they carried out Torsen’s will, unleashing a wave of destruction upon all they encountered.

No matter their origin, all were prey to these crimson-clad hunters. While they alone might not have plunged the void into true chaos, the blood dragon possessed terrifying, earth-shattering power. Its mere presence cast a pall of dread across the land.

The blood dragon’s colossal form, spanning ten thousand zhang, inspired awe and terror. Mortals were but ants before its might.

It tore through the void with deafening roars, its passage marked by flashes of crimson light. Its speed alone was a weapon. With a single charge, it could obliterate any cultivator in its path. A group of Corpse Yin Sect disciples, engaged in a fierce battle with a lone red-clad warrior, was suddenly bathed in crimson light.

Before they could react, a gale force wind swept through them, leaving them staggered and off-balance. A gargantuan crimson dragon head materialized from thin air, moving at impossible speed.

As the pupils of the cultivators constricted in horror, the dragon head slammed into them. The impact was akin to being struck by a celestial body. Their bodies instantly pulverized into a mist of gore. Even their souls could not escape, devoured by the dragon’s power.

The survivors turned to flee, but their vision was consumed by crimson light. The dragon body swept past, the last sight they would ever see. Their bodies shattered, leaving behind a silent testament to the dragon’s power. The echoes of the dragon’s passage boomed belatedly across the landscape.

It was not only the Corpse Yin Sect that felt its wrath. Across the outer reaches of the void, any who dared to cross its path were reduced to nothingness. Their bodies broken, their souls consumed.

With unfathomable speed, the blood dragon carved a swath of destruction, leaving a trail of death in its wake. Its form swelled, surpassing its already massive size. The dread it inspired was palpable.

With a pause, it roared and plunged toward the inner reaches of the void, a streak of crimson blurring the vision. Deep within the void, the Eight Kings of the Corpse Yin Sect sped through the void like comets. Before them, four ancient cultivators fled for their lives, unable to outrun their pursuers.

The Eight Kings were a diverse group, but shared a common trait: chilling countenance, and faces as white as death.

Yet the power that emanated from them was earth-shattering. They moved as one, capturing any ancient cultivators that crossed their path. The four cultivators before them were not long for this world, their bodies seized by a strange paralysis. As the Corpse Yin Kings prepared to seize their prey,

a sudden crimson glow washed over the landscape. The Kings halted, their expressions hardening. Even they could not ignore the approach of the colossal blood dragon. “Prepare the Corpse Yin Fourth Formation!” A purple-haired elder commanded.

Without hesitation, the Kings sank to the ground, their hands weaving arcane seals. A wave of frigid energy erupted from them, instantly crystallizing into a towering giant of black ice.

As the ice giant took shape, the eight Kings moved within. One remained at its core, one occupied each arm and leg. The final two Kings settled within the giant’s head, becoming its eyes.

In that moment, the giant’s eyes glowed with unholy light. It awakened from its slumber. The air cracked with immense, palpable power.

The blood dragon crashed into the ice giant. The impact shook the very foundations of the void. Every living being in the surrounding area felt the earth-shattering tremor.

Locked in mortal combat, the blood dragon and ice giant were locked in a titanic struggle. The ice giant staggered back, its hands gripping the dragon’s jaws, desperately trying to hold the beast at bay.

The ice giant teetered on the brink of collapse, cracks spreading across its frozen form. The Kings within its arms coughed up blood, but their faces grew even more determined.

The ice giant planted its right foot, arresting its backward slide, but shattering the ice around it.

The eight Kings roared in unison, channeling every ounce of their power into the giant’s form. With a mighty heave, the ice giant hurled the blood dragon away.

The blood dragon roared as it spun through the void. Undeterred, it lashed out with its tail, slamming into the ice giant with another thunderous crash. The ice giant stumbled again, the cracks in its armor widening.

The blood dragon’s head darted forward, and charged into the ice giant again. The ice giant continued to weaken. The Corpse Yin sect could feel their efforts were in vain.

Suddenly, the purple haired elder barked another order, “Prepare the Corpse Yin Third Formation!”

His voice reverberated through the giant. In that moment, the dragon charged again, and shattered the giant’s limbs and hurled it far away into the distance.

The blood dragon’s head was severely damaged, It has suffered an immense amount of damage. Even it, was starting to suffer. The dragon, full of rage, charged again, swearing to obliterate the ice giant at all costs.

The ice giant was thrown to the outer reaches of the battlefield. Its limbs wrapped around its body, becoming a single, ice ball. In an instant, the whole construct fused together, quickly transforming from the fourth to the third formation!

The ice giant was now a gigantic, unmoving, ice ball. The surface of the sphere was covered with thousands of sharp, glittering, spikes. The ice was incredibly poisonous and sharp, making the outer layer a deathtrap.

Meanwhile, Wang Lin streaked through the void, a grim expression upon his face. Three crimson-clad ancient cultivators, their eyes burning with cold fury, relentlessly pursued him.
