As Moro Sa flew, he remarked, “The place we visited earlier was just a simple eatery. Next, we’re heading to one of Huoyang City’s most renowned pleasure palaces.”
“Huoyang City’s most renowned pleasure palace? Where?” Luo Feng asked, curiosity piqued.
“Dreamflower Pavilion,” Moro Sa said, adopting a mysterious air.
“Myriad races of cultivators, though they resemble each other when concealing their true forms, are actually vastly different,” Luo Feng mused. “Some even lack gender, and their preferences vary greatly. How can this Dreamflower Pavilion appeal to *all* races?”
Moro Sa chuckled. “You’ll understand soon enough, Master.”
Amidst their banter, towering architectural complexes appeared ahead. These sprawling structures were shrouded in arrays, and one could vaguely discern numerous servants flying about, with laughter, musical instruments, and roars echoing faintly.
“That’s Dreamflower Pavilion ahead,” Moro Sa said with a sigh. “It’s good for everything, except the price!”
A figure in green robes flew out to greet them, his demeanor exceedingly obsequious. “Your esteemed presence is the greatest honor for our Dreamflower Pavilion.”
Within Huoyang City, Eternal Gods were the most powerful beings, the very “heavens” of the city! Each had their own affairs, and Dreamflower Pavilion only occasionally had the privilege of hosting an Eternal God.
“This is my first time here. You will handle the arrangements,” Luo Feng instructed.
“As you command,” the green-robed attendant replied, his smile laced with enchanting allure. “I shall arrange for your Excellency the most esteemed Lanxing Hall.”
He led the way, and Luo Feng and Moro Sa followed.
The array formations surrounding Dreamflower Pavilion were like a vast labyrinthine world. Moro Sa gazed in wonder. “I’ve been here several times, but never this deep inside. It seems this is only for the truly distinguished guests.”
Luo Feng suddenly frowned slightly, his gaze fixed in the distance. As a being with a perfect divine body, his senses were exceptionally sharp and far-reaching. He detected something abhorrent unfolding within a distant hall.
The hall was expansive, filled with myriad races of esteemed guests. These guests ate, drank, and conversed, their attention fixed on a deadly battle unfolding at the center of the hall.
Two True Gods were employing every method possible to kill their opponent!
The center of the hall was awash in blood, littered with more than a dozen True God corpses, their original forms revealed in death.
“Kill! Kill! Kill him! If you fail, your entire family will suffer the consequences!” a green-robed guest roared.
“Cong Que Shan, of the ten thralls you dispatched for this Ten Absolute Battle, only this one remains. I, on the other hand, still have three thralls yet to enter the arena,” another guest, with eight arms, said with a leisurely smile. “It seems our wager will soon be mine.”
“Hmph! It’s not over yet! My protector possesses unparalleled talent, and he can certainly defeat all of your remaining thralls,” the green-robed guest retorted angrily.
“Is that so?” the eight-armed guest said, raising his wine cup.
The other guests were animated with excitement.
“Cong Que Shan, I bet on your side to win! But your thrall is weak; only one is left.”
“My thrall will surely win! He must win!” the green-robed guest said, his face contorted. In the arena, the two True Gods fought even more furiously, their eyes blazing with madness, for there was no path of retreat.
Each side would dispatch ten thralls, and only when one side was entirely annihilated would the battle conclude.
Who would willingly participate in such a cruel game?
But they had no choice!
“I left my tribe and came to Huoyang City, seeking only opportunity. I received a legacy, and became stronger. But today, I am going to die here. I wonder how my little sister is doing in our tribe,” a bald True God said, obviously on the losing end.
“Finish him!” the green-robed guest roared, his face twisted with rage. “If you can kill the remaining three, I will reward you handsomely!”
“How laughable,” the eight-armed guest said confidently.
At that moment, Luo Feng, Moro Sa, and the green-robed attendant flew past in the distance, Luo Feng casting a mere glance towards the scene.
Huoyang City’s laws forbade unwarranted killing.
However, considering that True Gods sought strength and sometimes yearned for battle, so long as both parties signed a contract, it was a consensual battle to the death, Huoyang City would not interfere.
Yet, with just a glance, Luo Feng understood. These True Gods fighting in the hall were clearly fighting by “*forced* consent.”
*Buzz-*
Luo Feng merely glanced.
An intangible aura swept through every living being in the hall. Those who were previously reveling and wagering suddenly felt as if they were being stared at by an existence of immeasurable terror.
The two True Gods locked in mortal combat froze beneath the oppressive aura, their minds blank.
These extraordinary guests were nearly all Void True Gods, but they remained deathly silent, not daring to utter a single sound.
“Your Excellency,” the green-robed attendant, who was leading the way, stammered in shock, coming to a halt.
“I was in a good mood today,” Luo Feng said, a hint of murderous intent flickering in his eyes, “but to witness such a sight, it fouls my eyes and ruins my mood.”
The green-robed attendant trembled with fear and hastily replied, “It is our Dreamflower Pavilion’s oversight. We do not permit such deadly wagers. We are at fault for marring Your Excellency’s mood. Dreamflower Pavilion will bear all of Your Excellency’s expenses tonight.”
“Let’s proceed to Lanxing Hall,” Luo Feng said.
“As you command,” the green-robed attendant said, once again leading the way.
Moro Sa glanced back at the distant hall, chuckling. “A bunch of little whelps.” He then followed Luo Feng towards Lanxing Hall.
In the arena where life-and-death battles took place.
“Everyone, hurry and leave,” the servant responsible for catering to the public hastily urged. “That unfamiliar Eternal True God clearly disliked the death battle.”
“Quickly, let’s go!” The green robe guest, Cong Que Shan, immediately said, “Everyone, leave quickly.”
“Consider yourself lucky.” The eight-armed guest did not dare linger, and quickly ran away, accompanied by three guards. The other guests also quickly scurried off.
The two True Gods, who were originally fighting, glanced at each other, “I never expected that the two of us would escape with our lives.” They collected the bodies of their companions, and then quickly left.
Deep within Dreamflower Pavilion, in the most core hall, “Lanxing Hall.”
“Even though Dreamflower Pavilion is one of the most renowned places of pleasure in Huoyang City, it only occasionally hosts Eternal Gods,” Moro Sa said as he sat to one side. “Most of the customers are still Void True Gods. They play quite wildly, and the attendants don’t dare stop the scions of those great clans.”
The green-robed attendant stood nearby, pouring wine and attending to their needs.
“The world is filled with too much filth. How could I possibly manage it all?” Luo Feng said with a sigh. “The wisp of aura I released was merely a warning.”
“What if they ignore Your Lordship’s warning and remain there?” Moro Sa asked.
“That would be disrespecting me, slapping me in the face! In that case, they can blame no one for their deaths,” Luo Feng said.
Moro Sa hurriedly replied, “Your Lordship is truly benevolent, still giving them a chance to live.”
The green-robed attendant trembled inwardly.
Many of the guests in the hall had come from the city’s top clans. Was this stranger really capable of killing at his whim? Or was it just a casual threat?
“Hmm?” Luo Feng noticed a black-clad woman entering the hall. After entering, the woman slightly bowed.
“Your Excellency,” the green-robed attendant introduced, “This is my master’s direct disciple, the Soul Aria Maestro, Su Ya.”
Moro Sa chimed in, “There are only a handful of Eternal Gods in all of Huoyang City who are skilled in illusions, but only the Lord of Dreamflower Pavilion is willing to employ illusions for the entertainment of the guests.”
Luo Feng nodded.
He himself cultivated the *Nine Nightmares Realm*, and could be considered an initiate at the Eternal God level. Illusions, if not used for combat, could be highly effective in entertaining the masses.
“Begin,” Luo Feng said. He was curious to see what kind of illusions Dreamflower Pavilion used to attract cultivators of the myriad races.
The black-clad musician sat alone. With a wave of her hand, an assortment of instruments appeared before her.
As divine power coursed through the instruments, a multitude of sounds resonated, each note capable of influencing the mind. When combined, they instantly transported Luo Feng into the depths of his past memories.
His emotions began to stir.
Luo Feng seemed to see the scene of all the people of the earth fighting the Gold Horned Beast without fear of death.
“Using instruments as a guide, and illusions as a foundation, to influence emotions…”
“Invigorating! Exciting! Igniting!”
“Those of us who have cultivated for countless years find that our hearts become increasingly subdued, like a vast, still earth, almost without any undulations. It’s far too difficult to make our hearts fluctuate drastically,” Luo Feng thought, without any resistance, he actively accepted the influence of music and illusion.
However, his spiritual will was too powerful, having reached the peak of the Chaos level; this kind of illusion could not shake it.
It only allowed Luo Feng to recall certain memories of Earth.
Those years of fervent passion!
“That’s right, there are all kinds of secret methods of cultivating spiritual will in *The Arrayist*, including the *Seven Emotions Heart-Refining Method*.” As past memories of Luo Feng’s passion surged forward, he also recalled the *Seven Emotions Heart-Refining Method*.
“*Seven Emotions Heart-Refining Method* is to actively amplify one’s perception! To become easily moved, joyful, enraged, sorrowful… After that, using all kinds of emotions as nourishment, to refine spiritual will.”
As soon as the idea arose, Luo Feng began to execute the *Seven Emotions Heart-Refining Method*. The method was activated, and at this moment, Luo Feng’s spiritual perception was rapidly magnified.
What had previously only caused Luo Feng some resonance, reminiscing about past music and illusion, instantly became far, far more potent.
“Boom!!”
Luo Feng was in a daze, having returned to the past.
“Sit down, close your eyes, remember, do not resist.” Luo Feng said in a low voice.
“Understood,” Mo Han De Sen, Yi Si Te, Te Li Pa Di Xing Ge, Jia Yi, and Suo Ke Luo Fu were sitting in the corresponding positions according to the *Six Star* secret technique. They looked at each other, and strange smiles appeared on their faces.
It was the scene where the six of them sacrificed themselves to deal with the Gold Horned Beast.
A burning thought was in Luo Feng’s heart, surpassing life and death, only the thought of killing the Golden Horned Beast.
With the aid of the *Seven Emotions Heart-Refining Method*, this fervent emotion was so intense that Luo Feng’s eyes contained tears.
…
The music and illusions were there to serve the guests, so they evoked beneficial emotions.
Passionate fervor, love, unwavering promises, brotherhood through life and death…
After a long time, the dark-clad musician paused, she was a little surprised by the expression on the face of the Eternal God. Because Eternal Gods generally did not revel too much in the influence of their illusions.
Luo Feng slowly opened his eyes, with tears shimmering in them.
“Good, good,” Luo Feng said softly. “Very good indeed.”
