Chapter 406: | Swallowed Star 2: Origin Continent [Trans]
Swallowed Star 2: Origin Continent [Trans] - Updated on June 30, 2025
The spacetime within the Infinite Chaos Origin Space is incredibly mysterious. Its spatial structure isn’t like stacked “thousand-layer cakes” but rather resembles a multi-dimensional spider web.
This is why the ‘Land of Origin’ is concealed within a particular spacetime, making it impossible for any other power to locate.
Shadow Power, one of the highest-tier abilities capable of projecting across countless spaces, allowed Luo Feng to traverse immense spacetime distances with each step. He achieved this by leveraging the profound mysteries of Shadow Power contained within the Blood Crane Territory, moving along its spatial layer. Even with this ability, it took Luo Feng fifty-five days of continuous travel to finally reach the Abyss of Destruction.
The Abyss of Destruction lies concealed in the deepest reaches of spacetime, making it challenging for World-level Chaos Origin beings to detect. However, Ancestral-level beings can follow their instincts, delve into the depths of spacetime, and arrive at the Abyss of Destruction.
“I’m here.”
With a single step, Luo Feng traversed multiple spacetime layers, appearing close to the Abyss of Destruction. Even the outermost layer of the Abyss of Destruction is situated in the deepest reaches of spacetime. Each subsequent layer penetrates even further into the abyss. Even Lord Starlight cannot discern the true bottom of the Abyss of Destruction.
“A mysterious place of the highest caliber.”
Merely gazing upon it, Luo Feng felt an unshakable power! This “Abyss of Destruction” felt like the embodiment of the entire Infinite Chaos Origin Space, its oppressive presence even surpassing that of the Eternal Land. Compared to it, the Blood Crane Territory paled significantly.
“First, to the first layer.”
With a single step, Luo Feng broke through numerous spatial obstacles, forcibly entering the first layer of the Abyss of Destruction.
The first layer of the Abyss of Destruction was occupied by an Ancestor named Bavayu. His ability to occupy a layer of the World of Destruction ranked him among the top thirty beings in the Infinite Chaos Origin Space.
Nine massive, exotic beast figures respectfully prostrated, saying, “Ancestor.”
“I brought you to the Abyss of Destruction so you could experience and familiarize yourselves with the power of destruction,” said a colossal figure with eight hooves and sixteen multicolored eyes, observing its subordinates. “If you can make further progress and master this power, you can ascend to the Ancestral level.”
“Our Bavayu clan is still too weak, with only two Ancestors so far,” Bavayu remarked.
These nine World-level Chaos Origin beings were equally eager, yearning for further advancement.
“I will arrange for the ‘World Envoys’ of the Abyss of Destruction’s first layer to spar with you,” Bavayu said, his sixteen eyes fixed on his kin. “The World Envoys will ensure your survival. Go, and truly experience this power of destruction!”
“Yes,” the nine World-level Chaos Origin beings replied, respectfully withdrawing.
Bavayu looked outward to see a black-haired man in a blood-red robe tearing through the void, forcibly entering the Abyss of Destruction’s first layer.
“Is that Cultivator Lord Luo Feng?” Bavayu recognized him immediately, his sixteen eyes darting around with caution. He feared no Ancestor. Having mastered a top-tier power, his life core had evolved to an extremely high level, making his vitality frighteningly strong.
For example, during the war between the Innate Chaos Origin Faction and the Cultivator Faction, before Luo Feng’s breakthrough, figures like Moman, Jin, and Ming Huang did not dare to sacrifice their main combat avatars. Instead, they relied on countless accumulated attacks to gradually wear down and defeat their enemies. Even when Luo Feng joined the battle, and Moman and others sacrificed their main combat avatars to unleash their strongest techniques, it still took several of them coordinating to eliminate a single Ancestor. Without the combined efforts of Yuan and Starlight, those Ancestors would have had various escape methods. Starlight suppressed all spacetime. Yuan, on the other hand, could encompass vast surrounding regions with his rule operations, restricting and binding all power. Their combined efforts, along with Luo Feng’s energy supply and Moman’s forbidden techniques that involved sacrificing their main combat avatars, were what allowed them to eliminate several Ancestors before the Innate Chaos Origin Faction could react.
In true one-on-one combat, Ancestors possessed numerous techniques. In the Infinite Chaos Origin Space, at the Ancestral and Cultivator Lord tier, a one-on-one kill has never occurred. It always required multiple individuals to cooperate and sever all hope for the opponent to achieve a kill.
Bavayu, moreover, was ranked among the top thirty entities within the Infinite Chaos Origin Space. He had not joined any faction! This demonstrated his ample confidence in handling dangers. In the Infinite Chaos Origin Space, what are termed ‘weaker factions’ are only considered so when compared to the three major factions; in reality, they are quite powerful and possess their own formidable advantages. The weakest Ancestors, those without the confidence to face crises, typically joined either the Innate Chaos Origin Faction or the Ice Peak Faction long ago.
“Lord Luo Feng,” Bavayu’s voice boomed.
Luo Feng had already entered this first layer of the World of Destruction. This layer was vast and expansive, several times the size of an Origin World. Furthermore, it contained a power of destruction that seemed capable of tearing everything apart. This destructive power permeated every corner of this layer. Because the first layer had an owner, Bavayu, these latent destructive energies did not erupt.
Luo Feng glanced at Bavayu. Bavayu wielded a top-tier power called ‘Multidimensional Divine Light,’ which possessed considerable destructive capability. He was skilled at using his sixteen-colored Multidimensional Divine Light to imprison and bind enemies, and was also adept at escaping. His escape ability even surpassed that of the Shadow Lord of the Blood Crane Territory. This made his escape skills even more formidable than Luo Feng’s, who could only borrow a fraction of Shadow Power.
“Do you intend to occupy this first layer of my World of Destruction?” Bavayu asked, looking gravely at Luo Feng. “If so, I can yield it to you.” He had a clear understanding of his own limitations. Luo Feng had forcibly breached the combined defenses of the three Lords of the Blood Crane Territory and ultimately refined the territory itself. Luo Feng would still be able to overcome his obstruction and undoubtedly leave his life imprint on the “Essence Shadow” of the World of Destruction’s first layer.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be occupying this first layer of the World of Destruction,” Luo Feng stated. “However, I would appreciate it if you could mobilize all the World Envoys to attack me. I wish to experience the power of this layer of the World of Destruction.”
“Very well!” Bavayu smiled, his whiskers twitching, as everything was proceeding just as he expected. The previous seven Cultivator Lords, all beings who had mastered the Chaos Origin Dao, were individually formidable. Even Wu Lan, known for somewhat less refined techniques, occupied the seventh layer of the World of Destruction. How could Luo Feng possibly settle for the first layer? Lord Luo Feng didn’t mind. But Bavayu did.
“Lord Luo Feng, I will mobilize all the World Envoys to attack you, so be cautious,” Bavayu said.
Luo Feng stood in mid-air and nodded slightly, saying, “Thank you.”
Not far from Bavayu, the nine World-level Chaos Origin beings had just been freely brutalized while sparring with a World Envoy. It was then that they noticed the arrival of Lord Luo Feng.
“The first layer of the World of Destruction can summon 3,000 World Envoys, each immortal and indestructible. Lord Luo Feng, you must be careful.” As Bavayu finished speaking, all the World Envoys, including the one currently fighting the nine World-level Chaos Origin beings, charged towards Luo Feng.
A dense swarm of three thousand World Envoys appeared, swarming Luo Feng. This sight made the nine World-level Chaos Origin beings tremble.
“Lord Luo Feng, one of the eight Cultivator Lords?”
“Ancestor Bavayu is so courteous to Lord Luo Feng, even willing to voluntarily cede this layer of the World of Destruction?”
“I heard that each of the eight Lords of the Cultivator Faction is incredibly formidable.”
The nine World-level Chaos Origin beings watched with curiosity. They watched. Under the overwhelming siege of three thousand World Envoys, Luo Feng stood like an unyielding mountain, enduring every attack! His blood-red robe fluttered, deflecting every assault. Any casual counterattack was enough to obliterate ten or eight World Envoys.
Luo Feng stood mid-air, holding his Sky-Rending Blade. With a single swing, a flash of blade light swept past, eliminating several World Envoys. These annihilated World Envoys would re-materialize from nothingness. World Envoys are vessels formed from the condensed power of each layer of the World of Destruction, making them immortal and indestructible! While individually weak, containing only a fraction of “Destructive Power,” the combined force of three thousand of them was still terrifying.
To “slay through a World of Destruction” means overcoming all obstacles posed by the World Envoys and forcibly leaving one’s mark on the “Essence Shadow” of that layer. In the first layer, overcoming the obstruction of three thousand Envoys requires strength comparable to Bavayu’s. For instance, in the 28th layer, even Starlight couldn’t overcome all the World Envoys.
“Strike.” A World Envoy instantly transformed into a beam of light, which struck Luo Feng’s blood-red robe. The robe’s surface was protected by an energy layer, and though a crack appeared, it sustained no damage.
“Kill!” Another World Envoy vanished instantly, and a surge of light erupted within Luo Feng’s body. Luo Feng’s physique, fortified by the power of the Blood Sea, possessed a resilience far surpassing his previous state, completely withstanding the assault. The three thousand Envoys were mysterious and unpredictable. They assailed Luo Feng from all directions, even from within his own body.
“These World Envoys can only call upon a small fraction of the ‘power of the first layer of the World of Destruction’,” Luo Feng observed, carefully experiencing it. “Yet, when accumulated, they almost reveal the full scope of this power.” The combined techniques of the three thousand World Envoys could be called the ‘Power of Severance’ or the ‘Power of Rupture’.
Luo Feng carefully scrutinized their methods, even retracting his blood-red robe with a thought to experience the World Envoys’ attacks more intimately with his bare flesh. Within the Abyss of Destruction, each layer of the World of Destruction contains a unique top-tier power of destruction. Furthermore, every weapon spawned within these layers would contain a top-tier power of destruction!
“Sever – there’s nothing that cannot be severed!”
Luo Feng felt the World Envoys’ attacks impacting his body. His physique, born from the Chaos Origin Life-and-Death Dao, only sustained minor surface wounds even after he removed the amplification of the Blood Sea’s power.
“Rupture – life naturally ruptures.” A World Envoy, manifesting as a black light, appeared within his body. Before the black light even touched his flesh, his own flesh spontaneously began to rupture.
Luo Feng experienced various forms of damage. In the Abyss of Destruction, all “Destructive Powers” contained at least eighty percent destructive mysteries, while others might also encompass mysteries of life, matter, immensity, fire, space, and numerous other paths.
“This is much richer than my initial understanding,” Luo Feng remarked with joy. “The ‘Power of Severance’ isn’t just about cleaving something in two; it also encompasses the rupturing of life and the spontaneous fracturing of all things.”
“‘The Power of Severance’ is eighty percent destruction and twenty percent life,” Luo Feng mused, carefully considering it. “It’s the most common type of ‘Destructive Power’ within the Abyss of Destruction.” Given his already profound accumulation, he had a subtle feeling: “I can master this ‘Power of Severance’ with some time.” His ‘Chaos Origin Blade Dao’ was already nearing completion. While creating a complete Dao was extremely challenging, mastering one of the powers corresponding to that Dao was significantly simpler.
In the Infinite Chaos Origin Space, mastering a power derived from an existing top-tier power was still considered a top-tier power itself. For example, Cultivator Lords master a Chaos Origin-level Dao! If they wished, they could easily master several top-tier powers stemming from that same Dao. However, multiple powers from the same source provided no additional increase in strength. Only distinct types of powers offer substantial benefits. For instance, Lord Starlight mastered two Chaos Origin-level Daos: one focused on ‘space’ and the other on ‘time’. This combination provided significant assistance, as time working in conjunction with space led to a qualitative transformation. Luo Feng, on the other hand, pursued life and destruction. Similarly, the Infinite Serpent Ancestor wielded two top-tier powers—’infinity’ and ‘space’—further enhanced by the mysterious ‘Infinite World’.
“Once I master the highest-tier destructive power—the ‘Power of Severance’—it will undoubtedly be a great aid in my comprehension of the Chaos Origin Blade Dao.” Luo Feng perceived the difficulty as not particularly high, certainly simpler than overcoming the bottleneck of the Chaos Origin Blade Dao. He immediately began to study it intently.
