Cai Ruicheng couldn’t help but laugh when he saw Huang Mao’s face, bruised and swollen.

Huang Mao felt awkward and frustrated. After staring at him for a while, he lowered his head and walked out without saying a word.

Cai Ruicheng quickly followed. “Hey, don’t leave. I was just joking. Did your fight go badly? It seems like you really took a beating.”

Huang Mao kept his head down and continued walking. Cai Ruicheng had to speed up to keep pace with him.

“Don’t tell me you lost a fight? Given your skills, you shouldn’t have lost, right? Did you get ambushed?”

Huang Mao finally stopped and looked up at Cai Ruicheng. “You’re making fun of me, aren’t you? I said I’d take care of it, but I let you down. I fought one-on-one with that guy, and he beat me badly.”

Cai Ruicheng was surprised. He hadn’t expected Huang Mao, who was quite skilled in fighting, to actually lose.

“Who was it? Was it someone new at the boxing club? I haven’t seen anyone that strong among our club members.”

Huang Mao shook his head. “I don’t know. I’ve never seen him before. He was the one who asked me to come here. He even called me by my nickname, ‘Money Rat’.”

Cai Ruicheng was stunned. “Money Rat? Who knows that nickname?”

Huang Mao also looked puzzled. “I don’t know either. I haven’t used that nickname in many years. After I became a professional boxer, no one called me that anymore.”

Cai Ruicheng frowned. “Someone calling you by that name and knowing your past… that’s strange.”

Huang Mao thought for a moment and said, “Could it be someone from our hometown?”

Cai Ruicheng replied, “It’s possible. But who would seek you out like this? And why would they beat you up?”

Huang Mao shook his head again. “I have no idea.”

Cai Ruicheng pondered, “Tell me about the fight in detail. How did he beat you?”

Huang Mao recounted the fight, emphasizing how powerful and fast his opponent was. He described his opponent’s punches as incredibly precise and forceful, leaving him no chance to retaliate.

Cai Ruicheng listened intently, his expression growing serious. “You mean, this person is extremely skilled? He specializes in hitting acupuncture points and vital areas, disabling your ability to fight?”

Huang Mao nodded with lingering fear. “Yes, that’s exactly it. He didn’t use any fancy moves, just simple punches. But every punch was aimed at a weak spot, and I couldn’t block any of them.”

Cai Ruicheng’s eyes gleamed. He now knew who this person was.

“Where is he now?” he asked.

Huang Mao pointed towards the training room. “He’s still inside.”

Cai Ruicheng immediately walked towards the training room. Huang Mao quickly followed, saying, “Manager Cai, I advise you not to go. He’s too strong. You’re not his opponent.”

Cai Ruicheng stopped and looked at Huang Mao. “Do you think I’m going to fight him?”

Huang Mao was taken aback. “Then what are you going to do?”

Cai Ruicheng smiled faintly. “I’m going to recruit him.”

Huang Mao was even more surprised. “Recruit him? Why?”

Cai Ruicheng didn’t explain further. He knew that the person who could beat Huang Mao so thoroughly was definitely not an ordinary individual. He walked into the training room.

The training room was quiet. Only one person was standing in the center, wiping sweat from his face with a towel. Cai Ruicheng walked towards him.

“Hello, are you the one who defeated Huang Mao?” Cai Ruicheng asked.

The man turned around. He had an ordinary appearance, but his eyes were sharp and piercing. He was none other than Qin Yun.

Qin Yun looked at Cai Ruicheng and said, “Yes, I am. Are you the manager here?”

Cai Ruicheng smiled. “That’s right. My name is Cai Ruicheng. You can call me Manager Cai.”

Qin Yun nodded slightly. “My name is Qin Yun.”

Cai Ruicheng said, “Mr. Qin, your skills are truly impressive. Huang Mao is a very strong fighter, but you defeated him so easily. I’m truly impressed.”

Qin Yun replied, “He’s not bad. He has a solid foundation.”

Cai Ruicheng continued, “Mr. Qin, I’m here to offer you a job. Are you interested in joining our boxing club?”

Qin Yun was surprised. “Join your boxing club? What would I do?”

Cai Ruicheng explained, “You can be our head coach, or a special instructor. With your skills, you would be a great asset to our club. We can offer you a very generous salary.”

Qin Yun shook his head. “I’m not interested in being a coach. I’m just here to settle a score.”

Cai Ruicheng frowned slightly. “Settle a score? With whom?”

Qin Yun looked directly at Cai Ruicheng. “With you.”

Cai Ruicheng’s smile froze on his face. He stared at Qin Yun, a hint of suspicion in his eyes. “With me? I don’t think we’ve ever met before, Mr. Qin.”

Qin Yun’s eyes narrowed. “You may not know me, but I know you. Do you remember the ‘Money Rat’ from back then?”

Cai Ruicheng’s expression changed dramatically. He looked at Qin Yun, a sense of unease growing in his heart.

“You… who exactly are you?”

Qin Yun sneered. “You don’t need to know who I am. You just need to know that I’m here for revenge.”

Cai Ruicheng’s face turned pale. He quickly looked around, ensuring there were no other people nearby. He then lowered his voice and said, “Mr. Qin, there must be some misunderstanding. I don’t think I’ve ever wronged anyone by the name of ‘Money Rat’.”

Qin Yun laughed coldly. “Misunderstanding? You think this is a misunderstanding? Do you remember the girl who was beaten to death by you and your friends in the back alley eight years ago?”

Cai Ruicheng’s body stiffened. His eyes widened in horror. He remembered that incident. Eight years ago, he and a few friends had gotten into a fight with a group of gangsters. In the chaos, a girl who was passing by was accidentally caught in the crossfire and died. They had covered up the incident and bribed some officials to hush it up. He thought that matter was long buried, but now, it was being brought up again.

“You… you were there?” Cai Ruicheng asked, his voice trembling.

Qin Yun’s eyes burned with anger. “Yes, I was there. And I saw everything. You and your friends, you beasts! You beat an innocent girl to death and then covered it up. You thought you could get away with it, didn’t you?”

Cai Ruicheng felt a chill run down his spine. He knew he was in deep trouble. This person clearly knew the entire story, and his intention was to seek revenge.

“What do you want?” Cai Ruicheng asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Qin Yun took a step closer, his eyes fixed on Cai Ruicheng. “What do I want? I want you to pay for what you did. I want justice for that girl.”

Cai Ruicheng swallowed hard. He knew he couldn’t fight this person. His martial arts skills were no match for Qin Yun’s.

“I… I can give you money,” Cai Ruicheng stammered. “How much do you want? I can give you anything you ask for.”

Qin Yun scoffed. “Money? Do you think money can bring back a life? Do you think money can wash away your sins?”

Cai Ruicheng pleaded, “Please, Mr. Qin, give me a chance. I know I made a mistake. I’m willing to do anything to atone for my sins.”

Qin Yun’s gaze was cold and unforgiving. “Atonement? Your atonement will be to face the consequences of your actions.”

Cai Ruicheng’s heart sank. He knew there was no way out. He was cornered.

Just then, a voice came from outside the training room. “Manager Cai, what’s going on in there?”

Cai Ruicheng immediately recognized the voice as one of his subordinates. He quickly composed himself, trying to hide his fear.

“It’s nothing, just discussing some business with Mr. Qin,” Cai Ruicheng replied, trying to sound calm.

Qin Yun looked at Cai Ruicheng, a chilling smile on his face. “Don’t worry, Manager Cai. We’ll have plenty of time to discuss our business.”

Cai Ruicheng’s heart raced. He knew that Qin Yun was not going to let him off easily. He was trapped.
